First came the rain, then the sleet, and finally the snow. Over the course of 24 hours, we had a layer of ice, covered by a layer of crunchy ice, covered by 5 inches of snow.
First task after coffee, shovel the driveway and front walkway. It turned into a two-step process. The top layer of snow was heavy but moved easily and then the bottom layer of crunchy ice needed its own removal by scraping.
A post-shoveling walk was what my back and shoulders needed. The neighborhood was quiet, the fresh air was invigorating yet calming, and as I walked along the road watching where I stepped, the snowy street art caught my eye ❄ ❄ ❄
