Palindrome: 12-11-21
My dad loved Christmas and he loved pretty Christmas ornaments. Some of his favorites were his Waterford ornaments. He took a lot of time decorating the tree with so many strands of lights to ensure that it sparkled and he was so meticulous with the placement of ornaments. After he died, Mom was overwhelmed with decorating the tree. She did not find the same enjoyment in decorating the tree as Dad did. One year when all of us kids were at Mom's house for Christmas, she told us that we could each pick out four Waterford ornaments and take them home with us. There were 16 ornaments, 4 kids, and we each took turns choosing an ornament one at a time. I now have 4 Waterford ornaments and at some point in time, each of my 4 kids will choose one to have on his or her Christmas tree, a loving memory of their grandparents.
