We shoveled a lot of heavy snow on Monday - two rounds plus all the gunk at the end of the driveway from the show plows. The wind blew during the afternoon shoveling session. It was cold and it chilled our bones. When we finished, I sniffled my runny nose and said to Todd, "How about some coffee...with the Irish Cream that Dan and Lisa made for us?" A big smile and then, "Sure!"
Quite a few years ago we were in Hawaii, went to the Honolulu Coffee Co., and bought some Hawaiian coffee beans. For our purchase, we received a complimentary Honolulu Coffee mug. It always brings back memories of blue skies, sunshine, walking on the warm sand along the Pacific Ocean beach. I especially enjoy using it during the winter months...the aloha spirit sends out its vibes.

DeleteMornings like this, I understand why some people go south for the winter. (My parents started doing that when I was in the 8th grade.)
ReplyDeleteI'm having some thoughts about going somewhere warm for the month of January next year.
DeleteSounds like you found a good way to warm up! That cup is a great souvenir.
ReplyDeleteThat cup is a favorite. I'd love to go back for another one 😊
ReplyDeleteDon't kid me! It's that Irish Cream that sends out the good vibes! 🤣
ReplyDeleteEspecially when it's in the Honolulu cup!
