snowfall

Winter Storm Blair dropped 7 inches of snow over Sunday night and and as Monday progressed added 4 more inches to the total snowfall. Shoveling the snow in the morning was hard work - 7 inches of snow is heavy. But it was also peaceful. The snow blankets the earth, muffles the sounds, and slowly but surely, as the morning got on, we heard those with snow blowers rev up those engines to tackle their driveways. The second drop of snow wasn't as big - just 4 inches -but once it was over, we bundled up for Round 2 of shoveling. This session went much faster but we did have to contend with the blockage from the snow plows at the end of the driveway and that stuff was heavy. Life is returning to normal, just with 11" on the ground.

  1. Beautiful but that must have been hard work. I remember how muffled the sounds are when the ground is covered in snow. It creates such a peaceful atmosphere.

  2. Everytime I hear the snow removal service at work, I am reminded why I wanted to live in a condo.
