Last week for our anniversary date, T and I went to see "Jesus Christ Superstar" at the Schuster Center in Dayton. It's hard to believe that this show came out in 1970. Dayton was its final stop on its 50th anniversary tour.
I was 13 years old when this rock opera came out. I didn't get to go to a performance but I got the album and listened to it non-stop. I knew every word to every song. I drove my mom nuts.
And now 52 years later, I got to attend Jesus Christ Superstar. The performance lasted an hour and a half with no intermission. Such high energy, so much emotion, and even though the audience knew how the story would end, everyone was riveted to the last scene.
