Time to stock up on Forever stamps.
Stampflation hits for the second time this year. Tomorrow, July 9, the USPS will hike the price of a first-class stamp from 63 cents to 66 cents.
My daughter is getting married in September and I've passed along gentle reminders to stock up on stamps for her wedding invitations and thank you notes for the gifts. In today's world, the physical RSVP cards for attendance and meal choices are no longer part of the postage budget due to the responses going though the couple's wedding website.
Yesterday I went to the post office for some fun stamp purchases. An eye-catching stamp to the letter is like the cherry on top of the sundae, a little delight before getting to the good stuff...in this case, the hand-written note.
I still send a few cards and letters, 100 stamps lasts me about 18 months.
