It's that time of year when the Girl Scouts in our neighborhood come knocking at the doors. This is refreshing to see, especially in this digital age where most girls initiate the cookie sale via email to invite customers to visit their personalized cookie website. In our household, coming to the door gets extra Brownie points (i.e., buying extra boxes of cookies).
Eating Girl Scout cookies may be a cherished American tradition for the public, but the lessons and business skills Girl Scouts take away extend far beyond the selling season. The transferable skills and practical experience is invaluable as they grow up and take on the corporate world.
T loves lemon flavored cookies and he ordered a couple boxes of the Lemon-Ups, "crispy lemon flavored cookies baked with inspiring messages..." These messages are a pep talk for the Girl Scouts but they do double duty by bringing a smile to the recipients’ faces. I like “I am gutsy.”
