We took a 12-day road trip: Dayton ➤ Cleveland ➤ Chicago ➤ Cape Coral ➤ Anna Maria Island ➤ back to Dayton. Lots of miles and lots of fun to see friends and family.
As usual, bridges caught my eye and filled my camera roll.

Images of the battered Sanibel Causeway in Florida became a symbol for Hurricane Ian's destruction at the end of September. On October 19, well ahead of the October 31 target date, the 3-mile-long span reopened, allowing Sanibel Island’s 6,000 residents to again come and go freely. |

The Brent Spence Bridge, 1-75 N into Cincinnati. The Brent Spence Bridge was constructed in the 1960s to carry around 80,000 vehicles a day, but the daily I-75 and I-71 traffic load has reached 160,000 vehicles in recent years. Project plans call for the construction of a companion bridge to the west of the existing Brent Spence Bridge, as well as improvements to the current bridge. Federal funding grants worth $1.635 billion for the Brent Spence Bridge Corridor Project give the landmark bridge and corridor project the green light to move toward construction.
I have been across a few of those bridges, one of them many times.
