a golden day πŸ’› {november 6, 2021}

It's so easy to point and click and order 70 daffodil bulbs. Getting them in the ground is another story...halfway there. Can't wait 'til spring to see the host of golden daffodils!

The first week of November is almost done and today is one of those glorious autumn days: not too hot, sun shining, gorgeous autumn blue sky overhead. Not a day to be wasted doing indoor stuff so we head out to explore Highbanks MetroPark. Highbanks is named for its massive 100-foot bluff towering over the Olentangy River and there are a number of deep ravines carved by the tributary streams running through the park. Lots of families have the same idea to be out to enjoy this beautiful day. We got a 5-mile hike in and had to hurry the last mile or so. Forgot that when the  sun starts to set, it goes pretty fast as the days are getting shorter and shorter this time of year. Certainly a day to treasure.

How full of light and color are
their last days."
