flowers

“Flowers are always beautiful, but there is something unmatched about spring flowers—an awakening, a renewal that fills the air with surreal harmonies of love and joy.”

For the last four weeks, my Wednesday morning routine was to go to yoga and then drive to Pink Moon Goods, a lovely small home goods gift store, to pick up my bouquet of flowers grown at Backlot Buds, a small-scale urban flower farm. While at Pink Moon Goods, I visit with the owner, Kathleen, and we have become friends.

The spring CSA flowers are done and Kathleen informed me that Backlot Buds won't be doing the summer and fall CSA. She saw the disappointment on my face and passed along the good news that bouquets will be delivered weekly for sale to the public.

Looks like I get to keep my Wednesday morning routine.

  1. We try to keep fresh flowers in the house most of the time. My mother loved cut flowers, my father thought they were a waste. After she died, I started buying flowers almost every week.

    1. Flowers to honor your mother's memory and to bring happiness to your home.

  2. I used to have fresh cut flowers in the house every week but my bossier half said it was a waste of money so I don't bother now. Yours look gorgeous.

    1. Please buy some for yourself every once in a while. A touch of beauty to lift your spirits is never a waste.
