A picture of a trash truck...who would have thought it was important?

"Excitement for the day: Hearing the trash truck drive onto the street and rushing to the window to watch that arm reach out, grab the receptacle, and dump the trash into the collection bin. Woohoo! 😂 😷"

A Facebook memory.

This was the beginning of the pandemic, a couple weeks after Ohio's governor issued the "Stay at Home" order. At the beginning stages of SaH we could leave the house to go to the grocery store and to take walks around the neighborhood. Trash day was a reminder that some routines wouldn't change and normal would return...at some point. And we survived.

    1. Yes, we survived, learned a lot of lessons, and what an exeprience that was.

  2. How funny you should mention that time. I was just thinking about it this morning myself. I was wondering how I kept up the photo blog when time for picture taking was slashed.
I see those very same "think green" trucks below my window twice a week collecting the trash.

    1. It was a time when we worked with what we had or could get. Those are the good ole Waste Management trucks!

  3. It was definitely a learning experience for our generation! Our parents and grandparents went through this type of thing during World War II with Typhoid, and earlier, Tuberculosis. Some good things came out of it, though, and for that I am grateful. Lovely photo.
